Mrs Bola Okolie Ceo of Bonix Drinks recently marked 30 years in her line of business as  the number one drink vendor on the party scene in Lagos and Nigeria at large. She recently rolled out the drums in celebration of 3 decades  in business , a terrain  so competitive and challenging . Bonix as she is popularly called , holds a degree in International Relations from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, she has since done so much to revolutionize the gathering of the higher tiers of this society making  acclaim for her work immeasurable.

Known as the queen of premium drinks in the industry, Okolie has revolutionized drinks service with her innovations such as LED bar and Lounge and systematic party chaperone service amongst others. No A-list soiree is complete in Nigeria without her impeccable service and signature touch at their events. A disruptor and innovator, Bola Okolie pioneered many ideas that have now become a trend in the drinks service business in Nigeria and role model for many women also . Known to be a down to earth person and a disciplinarian . Mrs Bola Okolie was the first to introduce the use of the mobiles champagne buckets, Champagne girls, the tall pretty girls that welcome people at events which she named the Burlesque Girls.

THE CONTINUATION OF A RICH HERITAGE & LEGACY

At first meeting  at any event,  Bonix easily introduces herself as a ‘Coke Seller’ simply because she helped her mum way back hawk Coke at Ebute Metta and Oyingbo market in Lagos. Since then , Bonix Drinks has handled over thousands of occasions and events . As to if the legacy of her business will continue in this stride , the mother of 4 boys had this to say …..“Yes( my sons),  were all born into drinks service, they all tend to help me but I noticed one of them is extra with his help, irrespective , I sent all of them to a mixology school to become mixologists . I also taught them bar control, the difference between Whisky and Brandy, Vodka and Tequila, different kinds of champagne and their classes, Vintage Wine from different Countries like France, Italy, Spanish wine, or South African wine.
I usually turn a common conversation to teaching with them…..”

Quite indeed, the renowned queen of premium drinks in Nigeria- Bonix is gaining more ground with each passing day with those that count in the social circles. Despite going about her business with utmost humility , Bola Okolie is never seen to overly flaunting her peerless style.For her 30th year celebration , Bonix lunched her Water brand Bonix Second Cup Premium Water and book Bonix Empire.
