Once again the Nigerian fashion space has missed out on this one or do we say they were collectively shunned by the glam team of Tems ?
Every year , we keep witnessing this recurring decimal of Nigerian artistes flaunt their red carpet moment in foreign labels . From Tiwa Savage to Burna Boy , Davido , Wizkid , Asake and most recently – Tems , the only thing Nigerian we see is the individual and their name .Before we know it , she will clinch a global fashion ad campaign alongside the red carpet paparazzi .
Now is it that our creatives are still not up to par or do we not notice the opportunities we keep missing ? Why are they always shunned ?
While some school of thought say that the artistes are selfish – due to the fact that they style some of these artistes at the start of their carrer and once they “Blow “they shun these designers and cling onto the more globally accepted ones .
