INOLA OJÉN: The Game-Changer in Footwear Design by Aderinola Ojengbede

Born and raised in Nigeria, Aderinola Ojengbede was inspired to create the INOLA OJÉN brand because of her inability to find a variety of shoes and styles in her size of 43. She outgrew shoes quite quickly during her teenage years.

Hence one can say INOLA OJÉN was born from a simple yet profound frustration: the absence of stylish, comfortable footwear options for women with extended sizes. the brand name is being coined from the founders name – Ader Inola Oje ngbede who envisioned a world where every woman could step into a pair of shoes that not only complemented her style but also pampered her feet.

ABOUT ADERINOLA OJENGBEDE

Growing up, it was really difficult getting shoes in her size locally and abroad. Moving to the United States, she found that it was not easier to find well made, comfortable and stylish shoes in her size. It was too much to give up simply because she  wore a size43. It was clears she needed to do something.

Aderinola Ojengbede

After years of research, certification courses in the different aspects of footwear design and management, combined with knowledge from her background in medicine, she created INOLA OJÉN. The thought came to mind when the world was on lock down( from the Covid 19 pandemic ) , she used that as an opportunity to focus and work on the brand, ironic that it was the busiest, most unpredictable and stressful time of her professional career as any first responder who worked during the pandemic could attest to. She later discovered a wonderful family run Italian factory to collaborate with and launched my first collection in June of 2021.

Derin (as she is fondly called ) refused to compromise on style, comfort, or function. Her vision? To create a luxury shoe brand that caters to every woman, regardless of size, without sacrificing fashion or fit. INOLA OJÉN is more than just footwear; it’s a statement of empowerment, proving that style and substance can coexist in perfect harmony.

According to her ….“the INOLA OJÉN woman is a confident individual who demands luxury without compromise. She seeks footwear that is as functional as it is fabulous, durable yet undeniably chic. Our designs are a celebration of individuality, empowering women to express their unique style and personality through their choice of shoes”…….With INOLA OJÉN, comfort meets couture. We believe that every woman deserves to feel beautiful, confident, and supported, one step at a time.

The Talking Drum Signature

The Signature talking drum heel isn’t just a design; it’s a statement. Inspired by the West African heartbeat – the talking drum – the heels are a rhythmic expression of individuality. Just as the drum’s tones weave stories and emotions, the shoes aim to let your personal rhythm shine. As the old adage goes, “If the beat changes, so must the dance.” With every step in these shoes, you’re not just walking; you’re making music.

As it is well known, the INOLA OJÉN woman is a connoisseur of comfort and style. She demands shoes that not only look incredible but feel divine. Each designs are a celebration of individuality, merging classic elegance with contemporary edge. With the believe that every woman deserves to stride with confidence, knowing her feet are both supported and adored. With INOLA OJÉN, you’re not just buying shoes; you’re making a statement.
