# KING OF BOYS II – Meet the Designers behind the Power Look of Eniola Salami

It was a show of Power and high and relatable fashion as the King of boys II has been on the lip of everyone who has seen the award winning , oscar deserving movie . In season one of King of Boys, Eniola Salami aka Laburu made us understand how POWER, CONFIDENCE and STYLE works with one’s outfit and appearance. There were two major fashion designers who kept us entertained with the sophistication and elevated sense of style. Designer – Toyin Lawani of Tiannah styling collaborated with Ije of Urez Kulture – the milliner  to create complimentary turbans to go with her pieces.

According to Toyin Lawani ….. Fashion Pieces were not just tailored , they were premeditated to fit each scene and each character, each movement. I played with the character in my head severally in the dark to be able to come up with these pieces , some call it madness , I call it vision …”

On the other hand , Salihat of Abaya Lagos created a complete look from turban to robes using very interesting fabric choices .

As Salihat put it …. “All our pieces were very carefully made due to the delicate nature of our fabrics. The most challenging piece was the blue outfit she wore when she made an entrance to meet with First Lady Randall.
The look had to be put together to depict a day-time “diva power look” without it looking like a costume. We also had to be careful about the volume so that it didn’t overwhelm her. Giving the outfits relatability was the challenge for us. We wanted viewers to be able to see themselves in them; as being able to be their own version of the King Woman, Eniola Salami.
