PART 1

Laydeejayne Olaitan

I’ve been asked to make a post about my experience with the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic.

( I will be as real as could be…)

On the 25th I woke up with a terrible headache, by mid day I could barely see… the headache/migraine was almost blinding me… I couldn’t even think of food…

By late evening I started to come down with fever like symptoms, my mouth was dry, still have not eaten but I took paracetamol twice already…

By 9pm I was shaking and sweating… I dragged myself out of bed and close all the doors leading to my room… I called my son on the phone and told him no matter what he should not come to my side of our apartment.

By 11pm I tried to have a cool shower to calm my temperature… headaches/migraine by now was like I have passed my level and went to face Anthony Joshua and he beat the hell out of me 😁

12.am to 1am… I got up and went back to the bathroom, decided to draw a bath and tried to sleep inside the water…

I was in that bath for over 2 hours… i tried to sleep but sleep wouldn’t come…

4am or thereabouts i went to get ice for my head… I placed the makeshift ice pack on my forehead… no luck with the headache/migraine…
I turned off all the lights bcus it was making my headache worse… I started using torch on my phone…
Around 5am I went back to the kitchen to make another ice pack for the back of my head….

So now I had 2 makeshift ice packs (ice cubes in a t. Shirt)… 1 for my forehead, one for the back of my head…

Around 7am I called 111 to let them know I’m in big shit….

Spoke to a nice lady who took my details and confirmed my symptoms and advised me on what to expect, she said I should take paracetamol every 4 hours and I should only call for an Ambulance unless my breathing was 6 minutes apart from each other…

By 11am still no sleep, I lost my voice…

Still couldn’t sleep…

By 2pm I dragged myself to have 2 oranges…

Tasted like acid/plus piss 😂

I did the 1st steam treatment solution…

Got a big pot with water to bring to a boil..

4 oranges
1 lime
1 lemon
A good size garlic
A good size ginger
Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon
1 good size red onion
1 tablespoon of sea salt

After boiling for 1 hour… I covered my head with a towel and inhaled the steam… my nose was about to burn but I just buried my head and upper body into the steam…

Around 8pm still no sleep for over 24 hours…. thankfully headaches/has gone but my voice has gone with it …

Around 10pm I drew a bath and try to sleep inside the water… no luck…

I was having this disturbing pain at the back of my throat/nape of my neck at the back…

1am I decided to do another solution…

1 medium pot…

Just water and a whole bottle of Aboniki ( remember I run from that Aboniki, I fear that thing more than boko haram 😁)

It was boiling and I covered my head/upper body in the steam…. the hot steam made me see my dearest mother in heaven laughing at me cus I was matching on one spot as if my pekus was on fire 😂🤣😂😂😂
And I was saying … Yeeeh Mo ti ku o ( yeeh I have died o)…

Around 2am I tried to sleep again… no luck…

Went to get some ice, start to eating ice around 3am bcus my whole body was on fire…

I now decided ok let me pray … I read psalm 91 and prayed for myself and my Son…

after that I started saying blue lorry, yellow lorry, blue lorry, yellow lorry… I was repeating it and then I started laughing at myself like a weyre 🤣😂🤣😂

Sleep did not come…

5am I got up and went to heat up the steam treatment again ( the orange peel one)

Did it for like 20 minutes…

Came back to my room and laid down and started begging God to make me sleep…

No sleep now for 2 days straight….

At around 8. 30 am, 111 called to find out how I was doing… I told them all what I had been going through…. the lady said I should take paracetamol, turn off my phone and sleep… she advised me that I may loose my smell and taste bud.

I tried… no luck

I decided to sit on the floor in my bedroom like Babinanla maybe the sleep with come and meet me there 😁

No luck…

Mid Afternoon, I decided to have something to eat because I wasnt hungry and my brain was telling me to go and eat…

I had some Grapes… i had not had it in a while bcus of my keto diet… whaooo it tasted very delicious in my mouth…

I decided to watch a movie to occupy my mind…

By evening I went back to have more Grapes, now they tasted like plywood 😳

I took a handful and they tasted like cardboard 😳… È gba mi, mo rire, shebi I just had some Grapes some few hours ago and they tasted so nice…

I tried to sleep again … no luck…

I did the steam treatment again ( aboniki one)… chaiii that thing nearly turned my nose to Michael Jackson’s nose… 😂🤣😂😂

I was tired as f*ck but I couldn’t bring myself to sleep…

By 2am… I decided to do the 3rd Steam treatment solution…

Medium pot with water…

Pineapple backs
1 good size lime
1 good size lemon
Plenty Honey ( like 6 spoonfuls)

I drank it… I couldn’t taste anything but I drank it anyways…

While all this was going on I was taking Vitamin C & Zinc…
Turmeric tablets
Sage Leaf tablets
High strength Zinc ….

Now 72 hours and no sleep…
Lost voice
Lost smell
Lost taste….

To be continued….
