Tony Elumelu – The Debonair Game Changer at 60

Usually spotted in a black suit and red tie, Anthony Onyemaechi Elumelu CON MFR , the founder of United Bank of Africa, Africa’s global bank and The Tony Elumelu Foundation. He also chairs Heirs Holdings and Transcorp.Normally he stands out in a well fitted  suit, he takes his physical fitness seriously works out, so whenever he wears a suit, he fills it out so well .

Now it one thing to be financially stable ( as in  2015, he was named by Forbes to be the 31st richest man in Africa worth about $700 million ) , its another thing to have style but to have both is not a common feat and Tony has both . From our very own seat of style judgement ( Yes , we do judge ) , we have been monitoring his gradual transition from his straight cut suit to flaunting a more casual style even at the office .

With each day , Tony sense of style seems to to be evolving ,  oozing intimidating confidence that keeps us taking notes . His casual boyish charm  even at 60 is unquestionably on point and precise. His pieces throw up a well thought out finish which blends well on his  his chiseled physique. From his color selection (usually black) to the  form fitting and sartorially suits , TOE as he is fondly referred . reminds us that all work and no play makes Tony so charming as he has succeeded an effortless balance  in switching his looks from the pristine corporate look to the laid back and casual in style  .

TOE keeps his  casuals to a perfect minimum but they are heavily laced in top fashion brand names . From Prada to Gucci , Customized Tom Ford shirts and the likes , we really don”t have a list of his Nigerian faves though but we sure see his  symphony of colours, with a blend of playful elegance which blares a signpost to freedom in style as he rocks slides and slippers depending on the occasion in and out of the country ,he can also be spotted in a casual round-neck shirts or short-sleeved T-shirts. joggers , tracks , ripped jeans, cross body bag , chunky soled footwear … topped with his  dark shades.
