Top Style and Fashion Trends to Look out for in the Next Fashion Quarter

While fashion trends come and go,looking back ,  the covid 19 interruption definitely made a few life long changes in our fashion choices . At first, we wore pajamas all day; then we paired our in door bottoms with Zoom-appropriate blazers and ruffle tops. When the world re-opened, the pendulum swung the other way as we once more embraced formality, buying dapper suits for interviews and fancy gowns for weddings.

Despite the fact that the fashion experts say that this year  we’ll settle into a new normal: The pandemic gave us an increased appreciation for comfort, but we’re also keen to look more put-together and inward

Organic Fashion

Eki KereEki Kere

Also referred to as the Raffia trend . This trend has been seen making the rounds globally . From our very own Eki Kere to Jacquemus . We bet it’ll be raining rafia well through next quarter as well

Sheer

Throwback time – mesh and sheer pieces are back in style! Designers like Kai Collective , Jean Paul Gaultier and Mugler brought it to the runway, and it has finally made its way into the mainstream. Pair see-through pieces with a slip or just undergarments for a sexy, stylish look.

Neon Colours

2022 was definitely the year of colour. Valentino’s Spring Summer 2022/23 Pink PP collection is the best example of what we’re talking about. Colour. Everywhere. However, in 2023 we’re going to be seeing that in accent form, with bags, sunglasses and accessories being the main pieces of colour. Dye lab also showed us a very fun way to bring a pop of colour to muted, or monochromatic looks that is still upscale and on-trend.

Cut-outs

Cut-outs may look intimidating, but they can be elevated and super sexy when executed correctly. Next year, cut-outs will be all the rage, from dresses to tops. Guaranteed to turn heads, this trend differs from past iterations as we’re used to seeing an open back or a low V. Side cut-outs accentuate the waist and flatter every figure!

Logos

Banke Kuku served us monogramming in a way we could relate with . Next year, we predict more brands towing this line . As seen in the recent Atafo collection . Also with the rise in challenge of sourcing exclusive fabrics, this will definitely be a welcome trend .
