How You Tuber – Dimma Umeh Has Become the Social Media Beauty Game Changer

Dimma Umeh is an influencer who journeyed from being an aspiring banker to becoming one of Nigeria’s foremost authorities on beauty and makeup artistry via her you tube platform .

We live in a digital age in which social media is a very viable tool for dissemination of content and information. Hence putting beauty you tuber  Dimma Umeh (The Beauty Game Changer). Since inception of her platform , the content creation delivery is what has essentially what kept her page exciting and of course she has  amassed followership turned disciples of some sort-  in the millions and these fans are eager for her to release fresh content periodically .

For one who has been at the game since 2012 ,she has more than 10 years of experience on YouTube. Although , Dimma still scripts, films and creates content herself ,the only thing she out sources is editing of her videos . As of June 2022, the YouTube channel of Dimma Umeh had more than 449 thousand subscribers.

Well known for her makeup tutorials on YouTube. Her blog Dimmaumeh.com got voted the ‘Best Beauty Blog’ at the 2013 Nigerian Blog Awards. The nickname of Dimma Umeh “That Igbo Chick” was inspired from the book “Half of a yellow sun” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. She has also been featured on numerous top magazines including Essence Magazine, Genevieve magazine and Guardian Life thereby standing her out from her peers . In the past, she has reviewed popular fashion and retail brands such as Maybelline, Asos, Fenty, Amazon, Dolce & Gabbana, etc. Her videos range from makeup tutorials, to travel vlogs, to Q&As, shopping hauls, etc.

Dimma is known to be an outspoken feminist who uses her platform to speak on issues about African women and girls such as on-campus sexual harassment, marriage, gender roles and job security for women.


Dimma has done well for herself and has put Nigeria on the map  with her vlogging .
