1. Ty Bello

Toyin Sokefun Bello popularly known as Ty Bello is a singer, song writer and award winning photographer who has built a reputation for herself as one of Nigeria’s foremost photographers and sought-after portrait photographer in the country and beyond. She veered into photography at a time when it was not considered a popular profession and at the time,  she  set up a platform for upcoming photographers. Though she dabnles into documentary and conceptual photography,she is well known for her portrait photography. With a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Lagos, she is a member of the Nigerian photography collective, Depth Of Field and she was the official photographer for ex president Goodluck Jonathan. She has worked with A list celebrities and has made a massive contribution in the world of photography.

2. Yetunde Ayeni Babaeko

Yetunde Babaeko is another woman who has made major contributions in the photography industry. Born to a Nigerian father and German mother, Yetunde Babaeko studied Advertising photography and worked as a freelance photographer until 2008. With the intention of staying in Nigeria for only 6 months after coming back from Germany, she decided to stay back after noticing there were a lot of advertising agencies but not many photographers. She started out her studio, Camara Studios in 2008 which focuses on family portraits, advertising photography,basically photography for everyone. Along the line, she started out the Yetunde Ayeni Babaeko (YAB) Photography which is a fine art photography that focuses on exhibitions. Yetunde Babaeko is well known for her fashion editorials and documentary photography which are really artistic and creative.

3. Aisha Augie Kuta

Aisha Augie Kuta is a Nigerian photographer and film maker based in Abuja. She is also a communication strategist and Special Adviser to the Minister of Finance, Budget and Planning. Aisha Augie Kuta became interested in photography when her father gave her a camera at a young age. With a background in photojournalism and mass communication, she left her job as a Human Resource Manager to pursue commercial photography in 2008. Her work explores aspects of documentary, fashion and aerial photography. In 2009, she co founded a Nigerian photography collective, Photowagon and she has made contributions toward girl child/youth development and nation building.

4. Busola Dakolo

Photographer and wife of popular Nigerian musician, Busola Dakolo is a portrait and lifestyle photographer. She works on personal branding photography, headshots, portraits, family shoots etc. Busola Dakolo launched her photography course in January 2018 under Skills Kitchen, an online school for discovering, learning and developing a skill and has since then helped interested people in photography learn the art.

5. Eleanor Goodey

Paris trained Nigerian based portrait and commercial photographer, Eleanor Goodey is known to always create magic with pictures. She is well known for her vintage and painting like style of photography and most especially for her heart warming mother and daughter shots. Eleanor Goodey through her skills and creativity has constantly created breathtaking pictures of her clients with the fairytale imagery which leaves people awed on social media. Her fascinating headshots, bridal shots and a whole lot more just further accentuates her creativity.

6. Adeola ‘Gold’ Olagunju

Adeola Olagunju is a Nigerian professional photographer with unique works that has been showcased in and outside Nigeria. Her works are classified as works of art. Adeola has a vast experience in graphics designing, as she has a history to have worked as a graphics artiste for Advertising Agencies in Lagos, Nigeria.
Adeola’s work is a mesh of documentary and conceptual Art.  Also, her diffused perception of arts, time and trends has made her a critical, creative, meditative, and passionate artist. Adeola, is an exceptional personality in the Nigerian creative/photography industry.

7. Janet Orilua

Janet is one of Nigerias’ finest female photographer, she is the brain behind Ice Imagery: a photography brand specialized in shooting weddings. Janet through Ice Imagery captures the dream photos of couples as she gives them a fresh view from various creative angles.

8. Yagazie Emezi

Yagazie Emezi is an artist and self taught independent photojournalist based in Lagos and born to a Nigerian father and Malaysian mother. Her works focus on stories surrounding African women and their health, sexuality, education and human rights.
Yagazie who started out in 2015 has made great impact and worked with Al-jazeera, New York Times, Vogue, National Geographic e.tc. In 2019, she became the first black African woman to photograph for National Geographic Magazine and is a National Geographic Explorer Grantee. The award winning photographer whose works differ a lot from the kind of photography we’re used to was also responsible for documenting all the happenings during the End SARS protest last year.

9. Yagazie Eguare

Not related to Yagazie Emezi in any way, Yagazie Eguare is the founder and lead creative of Gazmadu Studios whose niche is wedding and portrait photography. The award winning photographer who graduated as a Doctor of Optometry in Imo State University became a professional in wedding documentary and portrait photography in 2013 and since then she has made a name for herself as a reputable photographer. Her artistry and creativity has definitely placed her at the top of her game.
