Chika Ike, Nigerian actress, CEO and founder of Chika Cosmetic and Flip Script studio has unveiled a new creative office for the brand Flip script studio. Mercy Eke has joined the league of BBNAIJA housemates who have released a sporty wear collection, following the controversial expression from her reality TV show “I just wanna relass and be taken Kiaruf”, she has decided to create hoodies and joggers with the inscriptions on them. It must however be noted that mercy had previously launched a clothing line MNM Luxury in 2019.
She is not the first to have launched such wears, as such type of wears have been launched by other BBNAIJA ex housemates like Tacha and Cee-c among others. Is this a coincidence or they are just following a trend?  Cee-c co-owns the Cegar clothing brand which is majorly a sporty clothing line. Launched last year, Tacha’s brand the NLNT was launched earlier this year with Don Jazzy featuring as a model.

Lagos Hairstylist Sentenced To 20 Years In Prison For Rape

Tayo Bakare, a 28 years old hairstylist was sentenced to 20 years in prison on the 13th of July,2020 by an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court for rape and kidnapping. He was accused of luring, kidnapping and raping a student on Industrial Training  (IT) as well as her friend.

The prosecutor alleged that sometime in August 2017, Bakare lured the student to an hotel in Ikotun, Lagos using her friend’s phone. She was beaten and raped by the convict and also had her belongings stolen. After locking her up in the hotel room, she went to the bathroom and alerted a passer-by who helped her escape.
During the trial, according to a witness, Bakare was apprehended while trying to lure an undercover police officer to the same hotel. Bakare denied raping the two friends stating that he had sexual intercourse with them because they were prostitutes. He was discharged and acquitted on four out of the eight count charge because the victims friend did not come to testify in how she was raped.
Bakare was found guilty in respects of counts two, four, six and eight respectively. “He shall serve 10 years in respect of count two (conspiracy to commit robbery), 10 years in respect of count four (robbery), 10 years in respect of count six (deprivation of liberty) and 20 years in respect of count eight (rape). However, these sentences are to run concurrently” said Justice Soladoye.
