La mode magazine has a yearly event, where part of the events is to give awards to some specially recognized persons who have done well in their categories, either voting or non voting categories.
This year’s event is going to be done in recognition of the disabled in the society, awards will be given to humanitarians in different categories but there is also a fashion show, that usually ends with a fashion award.
Winning a particular award more than once normally depicts consistency, but despite the recognition, Laura Ikeji has turned down this nomination. Laura went on to suggest a possible winner of the category as she has won that award category years ago, some sources say she rejected the nomination because of other contenders in the category, she went on to say Lilian Afe deserves the award.
We think she is indeed not on the same level with the other nominees, as she owns a fashion store and wears her pieces, but then who is a fashion influencer? because we do not see any of these nominees in that light.
