Nigerian Fashion Designer – Lisa Folawiyo Calls Out British Vogue
Lisa Folawiyo recently called out fashion bible – British Vogue for using her picture as a cover for an article without any back links to her page.
The article which was titled- Welcome , Summer’s Chicest Heel , had a picture from her IG page wearing a pair of Amina Muaddi sculptural wedges. The article which was centered around the footwear, did not meet the designer – “Filled with gratitude” for the use of her picture .
According to Lisa…..”You see the days when we felt grateful just to be “seen “on these pages are over .Sigh . If you are to leverage using my image, I too, will , must leverage from it ….”
Although she had much more to say prior to these uploads in her instastory, She also went on to say…
Do you think she was right to cal out British vogue , even though her IG handle was mentioned under her picture ?
