Since the start of the week , the Nigerian youths who got had gotten tires of the incessant killing of innocent citizens across the country took to the streets in a peaceful protest tagged #endsars . This historical event which was initially seen as a brief happening , had a 5 for 5 mandate ranging from the dissolution of the Special Anti Robbery Squad unit ( SARS) to the reform of the Nigerian Police .
The protest which has now not just spread across the country , also has strong presence in UK , USA, Canada , China etc . Most touching during the protest, are the recounts of the innocent victims who were cut short in the prime of their lives . From Chijoke – whose father sold his property , only to be told to go fish for his son’s body in a river full of dead bodies to the Girl on the Eagle – who had lost 3 of her brothers to the trigger happy policemen …..the stories of sorrow seemed endless .
