With face masks being an integral part of our everyday lives now, it has not been easy adjusting to it as it is not always comfortable most times. It is a much bigger adjustment for individuals who are using glasses as one common complaint from them is the issue of fogged up lenses. This occurs when warm breath hits the cooler surface of the lens making it fog and we have to admit that it must be very irritating and annoying.
Below are a few tips to help you fix this issue;

1. Use a mask with nose bridge
Close the gap on surgical masks by moulding the nose bridge at the top of the mask to your face to reduce the gap that allows moist air up the glass.
2. Put your glasses over your mask
Pull up your mask so the top sits higher on your nose and wear your glasses on top of the material.
3. Make use of soap and water
You can try washing your lenses with dishwashing soap and water and let it air-dry. The soap leaves behind a film that prevents glasses from fogging.
4. Clean your glasses with shaving foam
Apply a few dabs of shaving foam (basic foam and not gel) to your glass lens and wipe clean. Do not rinse afterwards as the shaving foam will create a protective layer over the lenses.
5. Put a tissue inside the mask
If you place a folded tissue under your mask at the bridge of your nose, it helps in absorbing some of the escaping moisture.
6. Buy a commercial anti fogging product which come in form of sprays and wipes.
