How easy was it for you to make ICONOLA  a RTW brand ?

When this kicked off… The plan is to be like H&M or Zara and that’s the plan still… That brand that is affordable, accessible and manufactures loads of amazing pieces always.
When I was younger, I wanted to do it all… But I quickly found out in my thirties that collaboration is key. So we launched the franchise programs. At 32, it was difficult to sell but with patience and refining, it picked up years after.
My hope in my forties is to really establish other women in the franchise programs.
My hope and dream is to have stores across Nigeria. Having multiple stores in every state, and growing our economy and providing jobs and increasing our self worth in our own indigenous companies…

. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Freedom to me is happiness. The freedom to express oneself and experience life in peace, and harmony. Without hurting others or being negative towards others.
That freedom comes with a lot of inner work, focus and determination. And one can only get there by doing that inner work.
. What is your greatest fear?
Not being able to express myself and live my life is what brings me fear. If I could articulate myself in simple words… I hate being inhibited and told that I can’t do stuff… So even when my mind says those things to me… I go and do the opposite.
I can’t live without knowing if I can do something or not.

. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
I don’t think there has ever been anything I don’t like in myself. Sorry, I’m vain… But really. Everyone has their good and bad. But for me I try to use even my negative traits positively or intelligently. So… I’m not the most social person. So I hire people who can stand in for me. But then again, I have good interpersonal relationships skills so I use that to my advantage as well
. What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Laziness ,Lies & Laziness

Which living person do you most admire?
Hmm…….. Hard to pinpoint to one person. I admire different people for different reasons But if I had to name one person… It might still just have to be Oprah.
. What is your greatest extravagance?
I don’t have those O. I’m not into extravagances. What has taken the most from me in terms of investment, is my business. What I don’t put into my kids, goes into Iconola. As in. Everything.
. What is your current state of mind?
Peace and freedom. Constant prayer and constant expression of God’s love, grace and mercy. I am constantly in awe of the greatness and vastness of God.
