ELLE Magazine South Africa got a new Fashion Director, as Dimeji Alara resumes office at the beginning of this month.
Style writer, stylist, journalist and editor, Dimeji Alara worked as editor of Nigeria’s Genevieve Magazine and Editor in Chief/ Co-Publisher of Style Mania magazine
He has also worked on set of some movies like Blue Mauritius, where he styles dome of the casts.
He started as the Contributing Editor in Elle Magazine and quickly rose to Fashion Editor in 2017 becoming the first black male and non-South African fashion editor in the magazine’s 21-year history.
His job as the creative director of Elle Magazine includes overseeing the creation of ELLE South Africa’s fashion content including the entire magazine’s fashion team split between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Alara with his years of experience has turned into a role model to a lot of individuals in the Africa Fashion Industry.
