#TBT : Lagos Fashion Week 2019 Recap: Runway Moments , Incredible Street Style & All the extra Happenings !
The Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2019 started with an energetic bang and it rounded off with some exciting and some not so inspiring pieces from several top African designers, some of which included Mai Atafo, Sunny Rose , Tokyo James, Style Temple, Gozel Green ,Maxivive , Maki Oh, Fruche, Ejiro Amos Tafiri and others.
The multi-day fashion event featured designers, fashion experts, enthusiasts, and media from across the continent and beyond.
The dynamic fashion event which is aimed at driving and celebrating Nigerian and ultimately, African, the fashion industry had in attendance people from all walks of life exuding everything fashion.

STREET STYLE MADNESS
With the theme for this year’s edition—’Beyond Creativity, Shaping Fashion’s Future’—we knew this was not just meant for the runway as both invited guests and fashion lovers would be doing the most in the next couple of days . HAT RAVE
It was equally a milliners affair with all the hats making the rounds . both men and women engaged the services of well known milliners to complete their looks for the evening . From some that looked like tatch roofs to others that looked very tacky ( with glue bubbles and pieces of threading making an appearance ) Some actually looked tasteful and chic . It was a real show of hats .
…AND EX BB NAIJA HOUSEMATE -IKE FULFILLED HIS DREAMS
While in the big brother house, Ike ( the Nigerian – American ) housemate always made it known that he would like to pursue a career in modelling . And like a fairy god mother,Lagos fashion week granted his wish . Ike firstly switched up his look by getting a perm in his hair and then he hit the runway Hard. of all the other housemates, he had the most outing (3) in all. His strut was a tad awkward ( looked like he did not care much for the clothes or what he was doing ) but he was cheered each time he stepped on the runway . We wonder which agency would sign him on . Hmm….
ABOUT THE OFF SITE SHOWS
Good bye to the days when the hall had to be evacuated for ‘certain’ designers so that their key loyalists could have premium seats . These days , the off site shows are becoming rather popular . This year , the likes of Lisa Folawiyo, Face Aj and Iamisigo took their shows off the runway just for an exclusive viewing . Those who attended gave some good reviews about Lisa Folawiyo’s outing , while some could not make out what Iamisigo had in mind .
TEMPLE MUSE RELOCATES
What better time to unveil an all new Temple Muse . as they have moved the store to a more spacious and shopper friendly location ( the bad road leading to their former location was an eyesore ). The like of Lisa Folawiyo and Iamisigo had their off site shows at the new location . The palatial edifice was quite impressive with exotic chandeliers and a wide stairway . which leads to the upper quarters .We say Kudos to the Temple Muse duo
