Afrobeats powerhouse and global style icon Seyi Shay made a stunning return to the spotlight (not that she had been under the radar ) but she was once again seen in her element as the fashion girlie and entertainer that she is well known to be at the , resurfacing on the runway at Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL). She commanded the ramp walking for House of Estree, captivated attendees, and thrilled the crowd with an energetic performance of her hit classic, “Give Me Love.” in a smoky hot lace tuxedo style jacket by Samson Soboye .
Yemi Alade: Yem Beauty Takes the Runway with Heritage
Yemi Alade brought star power, beauty and cultural expression to the 16th edition of Africa Fashion Week London, stepping into the fashion conversation with more than a front-row appearance. The Afrobeats star arrived in London to introduce YEM Beauty as the event’s official lip partner, placing her growing beauty venture firmly within one of the week’s most visible fashion moments. Her collaboration with Zephans & Co. during the VIP Catwalk Showcase created a polished crossover between cosmetics and contemporary African fashion, with YEM Beauty complementing the brand’s HERITAGE collection.
The partnership was a reminder of how increasingly intertwined Africa’s creative industries have become. DJ Cuppy brought music, mentorship and unmistakable energy to AFWL. She kicked off the week with an interactive DJ workshop for emerging talent before turning up the VIP Catwalk Showcase with a live set of dancers and drums. Then, straight from the performance, she took her place on the front row—supporting African fashion from behind the decks and in the audience.
